Important Updates: 2026-27 Tuition, Technology Enhancements, and Campus Expansion at GCS
Dear GCS Parents,
As we approach the 2026-27 academic year, I am writing to share some exciting developments and essential updates regarding the tuition schedule at Gaston Christian School. It remains a primary focus of our leadership team to ensure we balance the delivery of an exceptional Christian education with a commitment to keeping tuition costs as accessible as possible.
I am pleased to announce that our high school will add eight classrooms to a learning suite behind our current Middle/High School Building. This addition will allow us to better accommodate our growing high school program. This expansion reflects our dedication to meeting the growing needs of our community while preserving the mission and values that define Gaston Christian School.
You will find the tuition schedule for the upcoming school year attached. While rates are increasing, this adjustment is essential to maintaining the high standards of education and care we strive to provide. These funds allow us to continue investing in our most valuable assets—our dedicated teachers and staff—by ensuring competitive compensation, robust professional development opportunities, and the resources necessary to sustain a thriving learning environment.
To support the academic rigor and technological fluency expected of our students, the school must now undertake several essential upgrades to its technology infrastructure. The demands on our network and devices have grown significantly over the years. Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, students in grades 5-12 will transition to iPads equipped with a keyboard and case. Fifth-grade students will use the iPads as in-school devices only and will not be allowed to take them home.
The technology fee for grades 5-12 will increase from $125 to $200 to directly support enhancements to our campus-wide internet capacity and improvements in digital safety.
The Chromebooks will serve students in grades 1-4 as in-school devices only, and the technology fee for these grades will be $100.
We recognize that affordability is a significant consideration for families. I am pleased to note that the expansion of the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program will continue to bring meaningful financial support to many of our families. Additionally, GCS continues to offer a comprehensive financial aid program to assist those who may need help navigating these changes.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support of GCS. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to educate your children and to share in their academic and personal growth. It is my sincere hope that your family will remain part of the GCS community for many years to come.
Should you have any questions regarding the new tuition schedule, the NC Opportunity Scholarship, or our financial aid program, please do not hesitate to contact our business office.
As we look ahead to another year of learning and growth, we are reminded of our school verse: “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” II Timothy 2:2. It is our prayer that this truth will guide and inspire all that we do as a community committed to training our next generation of leaders with a Christ-centered education.
With gratitude and blessings,
Dr. Marc Stout
Head of School
