About Gaston Christian School — East Cleveland Campus
Thanks to overwhelming interest from families at our Shelby campus, we realized it was the ideal time to move to a larger school building and campus to accommodate an expanding student body. This led to our purchase and renovation of the historic Central School Building in the growing community of Kings Mountain, NC — our new East Cleveland campus.

Community Involvement
Service and community are at the heart of a GCS education. You’ll discover many opportunities to stay connected, including events such as the Cleveland County Fair, support of the local food bank through Feed the Need, and our school carnival at Shelby City Park. Additionally, we receive significant support from local businesses, churches, and private sponsors, some of whom are GCS parents.
We’re very grateful for how the community and our students come together by joining local clubs, volunteering in nearby churches, including Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, and even designing art for the Cleveland County Fair. Students also build connections with local businesses and organizations through field trip experiences to area businesses, the local bank, fire department, police department, and the library.
