Governor’s School Award
Lilly Floyd, 11th Grade
Congratulations to Lilly Floyd and Chloe Sorrell for their acceptance into the North Carolina Governor’s School! After a rigorous selection process, the Department of Public Instruction invited these two students to attend the 2024 North Carolina Governor’s School Session. From over 1,900 state-level nominees, their application exemplified the portrait of excellence looked for in NC Governor’s School participants. The NC Governor’s School is the oldest institution in the nation and has a proud tradition of distinction and accomplishment.
Lilly has been selected to attend in the area of Choral Music and Chloe will attend in the area of Visual Arts.
