I hope you are enjoying the wonderful fall weather that is so special in North Carolina.  Enclosed, please find our 2022-23 Annual Report (click this link to view it); it is a summary of our past year and I hope you take the time to enjoy reflecting on the events that comprised our past year!   This year we are sending out our Annual Report electronically, but we will have printed copies in the offices for anyone who would like one.

As you are very aware, the 2022-23 school year was a year of growth and expansion.  I sincerely thank each of you for your prayers, support, and encouragement throughout the past year.  Between starting a campus in Shelby to constructing the Student Life Center, we continue to be ever vigilant to provide a safe learning environment for your children.  We pray that Gaston Christian will bring much joy to your family as we minister to your children.

Our theme verse for the 2022-23 school year was taken from I Chronicles 16:34 which says,  “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, His love endures forever”  We are so thankful for the many families, teachers, and staff at Gaston Christian School. We know that God’s love endures forever and for that, we are extremely thankful.

Each year our publication of the Annual Report is the kick-off for the Annual Fund Drive.  This year some of the proceeds from our Annual Fund will be used to provide financial aid to families that would otherwise not be able to attend Gaston Christian School.  We will also dedicate a portion of the Annual Fund for the Barnabas Fund which is designed to help those in the GCS family when facing a financial crisis.  Lastly, we will use a portion of our Annual Fund to continue to expand our campus enrichments.  Currently, we are praying that generous gifts will allow us to expand our STEM Programs and decrease our note for the Student Life Center.  None of these improvements would have been possible if not for those who have supported our efforts financially.

At a time in our country when many schools and churches have abandoned biblical principles, we are standing firm in our commitment to honor God in all that we do.  Your donation to our Annual Fund is an indication of your support and affirmation of what we are doing. If each family would make a gift of $250.00 to our Annual Fund we would be able to do even more great and exciting things for our students.

I know that there are many of you who could do something much more significant.  Please prayerfully consider how you might generously bless GCS at this time.  I continue to be amazed by the generosity and humbled by the trust that is displayed through such gifts. Gaston Christian School remains firm in our commitment to honor Christ.  Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Our goal is to trust God for everything we need to continue to minister to families in this area.  God has brought outstanding teachers and administrators to GCS.  We are blessed to have supportive parents, wonderful students, and great facilities.  Your financial support in enriching our opportunities for students and families would be most appreciated.  If you would like to meet personally to discuss your involvement, please contact my office to arrange a mutual time to meet.
