Clarification – Covid-19 Testing at Gaston Christian School
Covid testing is only required for students needing a Covid test to return to school after school mandated quarantine due to Covid exposure or if your student has Covid symptoms. If your student has tested positive for Covid and completed their quarantine time, they do not need a Covid test to return to school.
Dear Gaston Christian Families,
Due to the large volume of testing needing to be done at school this week, we will be Covid testing behind the GCS HS library tomorrow, January 18 from 12-3 pm and Wednesday – Friday this week during school hours. Please have your student remain in your car, pull behind the high school, from the high school parking lot and follow the signs for testing. (See map below.) We are only able to test Gaston Christian students and employees at this time.
Upon arrival for testing, please have the following forms completed to expedite testing.
1) Consent for Covid testing
2) Information sheet
Once testing is completed, you will be asked to drive to one of the parking lots at school to await results before your student can return to school. Rapid testing takes approximately 15 min to complete, however please expect delays due to the amount of testing we are doing. Feel free to find earlier testing at an outside location. If you do test at another facility, please email the results to [email protected]. If the test is negative your student is free to come into school and we will respond to your email ASAP. If your student’s test is positive, your student and all household members enrolled at GCS must stay out of school and await further instructions from nurses via email.
