Creative Movement: This class will focus classical ballet. We will introduce dancers to the basic fundamentals Ballet. Basic Ballet – body positions will be introduce and we will establish proper body alignment. Students will be introduced to basic barre and across the floor exercises. We will explore simple choreography towards the end of the the season.

• Mondays – 2:30-3:15 Creative Movement
• Mondays – 3:30-4:15 Creative Movement

Beginner Ballet/Jazz Technique: This class is a combination of classical ballet and jazz dance technique. This combo class that will introduce dancers to the basic fundamentals of both styles, Ballet and Jazz dance. The Ballet portion will introduce fundamental body positions and establish proper body alignment. Students will be introduced to basic barre and across the floor exercises. In Jazz, the dancer well focused on strength, flexibility and conditioning technique. Dance progressions as turns, kicks and leaps will be taught. There will be a strong emphasis on energy rhythmical accuracy and style. The dancer will learn many fun and trendy dance steps through choreography.

• Tuesday – 2:45-3:30 Combo Ballet Jazz

Ballet Technique: a class that will focus on the foundation of ballet and will help develop solid ballet technique. This class will put emphasis on understanding correct body placement, proper use of turn out, coordination of the upper body, and use of arms. Class begins with work at the barre to build strength and coordination, followed by center exercises.

Jazz Technique: a class that combines techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with the current forms of popular dance. Jazz also has its own movement vocabulary ranging from the isolation of certain body parts to the movement of the entire body with the accents of musical rhythms. This class focuses on the importance of energy, rhythmical accuracy, and style.
