The high school held Career Day on November 14; the day began with an opening address to the student body by Rev. Matt Kuiken of First ARP Church in Gastonia; for the remainder of the day, students chose four sessions to attend, each one led by a different guest speaker.  Presenters included Mr. John Branderburg (graphic artist),  Ms. Rachel Elmore (Christian counselor), Judge Angie Hoyle (judge/lawyer), Ms. Shana Isenhour (detective), Dr. Kim Langholz (veterinarian), Mr. Jon McBee (banker/finance), Mr. Todd Melton (EMT), Ms. Larissa Miller (video editor), Mrs. Laura Muana (radio logic technologist), Mrs. Heidi Tringali (occupational therapist).
