On the morning of Wednesday, September 26, high school students, faculty and parent volunteers journeyed to Windy Gap, a Young Life camp near Weaverville, NC. This year’s event marked the 20th annual retreat at Windy Gap for GCHS. Jason Marlowe, the pastor at Tuckasegee Baptist Church in Mount Holly, taught the Bible study sessions; BJ and Lisa Sullivan of Freedom Church in Gastonia led worship. In addition to the Bible study sessions, the days at camp were filled with the annual junior-senior football game, volleyball tournament, water activities, a talent show, and more.
As students in grades 9-11 returned to Gastonia Thursday evening, the members of the Class of 2018 remained at Windy Gap for Senior Night.
