Owens WFAC move-in day

The Move!

They came with hand trucks and dollies,

carts, muscles and empty hands

to carry the old into the new,

fraying a way to marry

creativity to worship

under one canopy.

They came

those who would lend a hand

from disciplines other than the Arts,

Drama, Music, Woodworking:

Math, Science, Bible, Spanish,

Social Sciences, English…

Even the soccer team

playing a different field

with their strong arms and legs

This is what love does

when together we hold

a common vision for a holy future

How they love each other, said

those who observed

how many hands made light work

And because of that they know

who we are

Together, one body

With creativity

and love

We worship

That’s who we are

Let your work be seen by your servants, and your glory by their children, and may the gracious care of the Lord our God be ours: prosper the work of our hands for us!  Prosper the work of our hands! Psalm 90: 16-17
