The eighth-grade students just completed the novel, Johnny Tremain.  Johnny Tremian is a Revolutionary War historical fiction novel that follows the life of an apprentice through his journey from childhood to adulthood and his involvement in the rebel movement.  Students learned about the Sons of Liberty.  These men wore a medallion of the Tree of Liberty around their necks to symbolize their group.  Students created a symbol that represented their families and presented them to the class.
