The Junior Heart Board volunteered at the Shining Hope Farms on November 4th. Twenty of the club members helped around the farm by raking, weeding, planting and other general cleaning projects. Shining Hope Farms is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to enable children and adults with disabilities to achieve functional goals through the use of equine-assisted activities and Hippotherapy. They depend on community volunteers, and the JHB members all thoroughly enjoyed getting to help at the farm.
If you ordered lunch for today, November 10, you will receive a credit on your regular tuition account. Credits cannot be used for future lunch orders since they are separate payment systems, but can be applied to charges on your tuition billing account.

The GCS Bands and Choirs are selling poinsettias to raise funds to purchase new music, purchase new instruments, and repair instruments.
Both red and white poinsettias are available for pre-order in foil-covered, 6-inch pots for $10 each. What a wonderful way to begin your holiday decorating or to give as a gift to a family member, friend, teacher or co-worker!
Please make checks payable to Gaston Christian School.
Orders may be turned in at any GCS campus office or given to Mr. Gunter (band director) or Mrs. Pursley (choir director).
All orders, with payments, are due by Thursday, November 17.
Plants will be delivered to the school to be enjoyed at our High School and Middle School Christmas concerts and then available for pickup at the close of each evening. For families who want to purchase poinsettias but will not be attending our concerts, the poinsettias will be available for pickup in the school gym on Tuesday, December 6, 2:20 – 3:30 p.m. or call 704-349-5020 to schedule an alternate pick up time.
